Organic Buckwheat Flour
Contrary to its name, buckwheat flour is actually gluten free. It provides many nutrients, fibre, and minerals, which makes it a great substitute for traditional white baking flour. It is a lighter buckwheat, finely ground, perfect for baking. Buckwheat is packed full of protein, making those muffins you bake even healthier for you!
We like to mix a few alternative flours whenever we bake, usually doing 1/3 to 1/2 buckwheat, with organic whole wheat or brown rice flour. This way the final product doesn't end up too heavy, but has extra nutrition baked right in. Perfect for pancakes, muffins, or cakes. It also adds a lovely nutty flavour to your dishes, once you try it you won't want to go back to plain flours!
